75-year-old man's Adventurer House Truck

John Ericson and his wife live an itinerant lifestyle. The couple has been living this way for the past 35 years because they live in a mobile tiny home. With their bus home as a moving base of operations, the Ericsons were able to home-school their children and explore much of the Western Hemisphere.
“We’ve done 133,000 miles so far, and I drove it 5,” John said in an interview with Tiny House Giant Journey. “My wife likes to drive.”

John and his wife have designed and built 12 different tiny mobile homes. Their current house truck is built atop a Mitsubishi Fuso. He calls it his Adventure House Truck. It took John, 75, who is a former construction worker, just four weeks to build.
The house sleeps three comfortably and has a sink, toilet, refrigerator, stove and storage space. Outside, the house truck has solar panels, clothes washing implements, a shower and panels that can collect rainwater. The house truck is heated by propane.
At the time of the 2015 video, John was based in Homer, Alaska, but don't think for a second the Ericsons were living in a traditional home. When he and his wife are in Alaska, they live in a renovated RV "built on top of the burnt remains of a 1996 Holiday Rambler," as reported by Tiny House Giant Journey.
Unfortunately, there are no images available of the Ericsons' renovated bus' interior, and if we judge it just by its cover, it's impossible not to regret not being able to take a peek inside.
John has plans for his next tiny house, but he doesn’t know if he’ll get to build it because of his advanced age. “I'll keep moving as long as I can, you know," he said.
John said he and his wife plan to take the Adventure House Truck to Russia and Mongolia next. See a video tour of John's truck below:
