Julie and Andrew Puckett of Stone Mountain, Ga., moved to a 1990 Blue Bird school bus in 2015. According to Houseb.us, the couple has now lived in their cozy home for a little over a year. Apartment Therapy states that the couple's bus is 240 square feet (22 square meters) of comfortable and creative tiny home space.
In the YouTube video tour the Puckett's give, the couple reveals that many of the pieces within the bus have been custom made for them by Mrs. Puckett's dad. This gives them an advantage in having pieces that have been well-though-out and designed specifically for the space they own. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Puckett, Starbuck, the dog, and a cat live in the custom bus.

The driver's seat doubles as extra seating and office space when needed. Hidden behind the panel above the mirror is extra storage space, and the curtains help keep out the heat in the summer.
The kitchen table folds up for use and down when not in use. When the table is being stored, the space belongs to Starbuck. The couple even has a custom crate that gets installed in the tiny spot for when they are out of the bus.
The couch is 6 feet long (2 meters) and was built by Mr. Puckett and his father-in-law. The couch can be used as a guest bed, and beneath it is a spot for storing all the stuff they use in the "living room."
An apartment size refrigerator allows the couple to have both a refrigerator and freezer. A butcher block cover sits on top of the four burner range and oven to create extra counter space and a cutting board.
All the cupboards are custom built by Mrs. Puckett's father, and the pullout drawers maximize the space while making everything easy to reach.
The entire bus is heated with a wood stove.
The shower in the bathroom draws its hot water from an on-demand water heater.
An Ikea panel is used for the bathroom door, and the couple makes wise use of the space around the top of the bus for books and bric-a-brac.
Beneath the custom bed is additional storage.
The closet houses all their clothing, and track lighting in the closet makes seeing in the dark possible.
Without an expensive mortgage or the worry of climbing rent, this couple has found happiness in their tiny space. If they have to move, they can take their home with them. As long as someone is willing to let the bus be placed on his or her property, the Pucketts have a sweet ride.
