The Wedge cabins: tour with us these lovely vacation rentals

WheelHaus founder and CEO Jamie Mackay was greatly influenced by his father's work in log cabin construction in Jackson Hole, Wyo., but wanted to adapt the craft to modern technology. To seamlessly introduce cabins into a more technologically advanced and eco-friendly world, WheelHaus presents The Wedge, a small transportable cabin that features far more than its square footage lets on.
These 400-square-foot cabins were the first of WheelHaus' designs and can be rented through the Fireside Resort at Jackson Hole Campground. Of course, if you fall in love with the Wedge — and after taking a tour, it'll be hard not to — you can have one built and installed wherever you want.

The Wedge reflects Mackay's vision of combining the craftsmanship of log cabins, the "classic ideals with a modern focus on energy efficiency, innovative design, progressive space management, sustainable building practices and top of the line building materials." This tiny home redefines luxury in the coziest and most eco-conscious way.
The Wedge features high ceilings and windows that let in plenty of light, adding to the airiness of the interior. As a nod to its rustic roots, the exterior is completely covered with ranchwood siding that contrasts perfectly with the predominantly glass facade.
The spacious sitting area is fitted with either a mini gas-burning or electric fireplace, and there's space to hang a flatscreen TV on the wall. Naturally, each cabin is wired for cable and Internet access.
Just adjacent to the sitting room is the kitchen, which is equipped with a "sink, two-burner cook top, a counter depth 10 cubic foot, 24” wide freezer/refrigerator, microwave, a dishwasher, Caesar Stone countertops, and high-grade cabinetry with soft close doors."
Below is an alternative layout that's sure to appeal to avid cooks. The fireplace was shifted over to allow for more counter and storage space in the kitchen.
The bathroom houses a generously-sized frameless glass shower and fully-functional toilet.
The vanity, just across, has ample storage space for toiletries and features beautiful countertops. Additionally, a closet in the bathroom contains a stacked washer dryer set.
Depending on your preferences, the bedroom can accommodate a queen or king sized bed with nightstands on either side.
On the opposite wall, you have the option of installing an additional vanity, workspace, or even adding another TV.
A glass sliding door off the kitchen leads to a private patio, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors while you eat, work, or socialize.
