See the vintage beauty of the Wildflower Cabin 

It's right around that time of the year when people tend to feel a bit cooped up from being inside more often than they're used to. This is a good time to get away. For couples seeking a romantic weekend away in the outdoors, the Wildflower Cabin at Lake Arrowhead in Southern California just might be the prime spot.

This cabin was built in the 1920s for U.S. Forest Service employees, and it was remodeled as a family cabin.  It sits near private Lake Arrowhead, and is nestled among gorgeous knotty pines.  

The cabin features a private deck outside with wood chairs. "Please enjoy drinks and starters on the deck ... while taking in the nature that surrounds the cabin," the owners' Airbnb page says. There's also a small table and chairs in the actual yard for warmer months.

The living room features wide-plank wood floors and the original brick fireplace. "You will love spending a snowy winter night next to a roaring fire," says the Airbnb description.  "The living room is the perfect place to snuggle up by the fire and watch movies on the flat screen TV."

The kitchen is small, but charming. "Nothing is more enjoyable and fun than cooking a romantic, gourmet meal in our vintage kitchen on the (vintage) stove," says the ad. A tiny kitchen table with four chairs sits near a window that offers a nice view of the woods.

After a long day of hiking or hanging out at private Arrowhead Lake, the ad informs us that, "you will get an incredible ... sleep on the super comfortable queen bed and return home refreshed after your stay here." 

And look, there's even a bathroom complete with a washer/dryer and a tiled shower. That means you won't have to worry about potential bear or Sasquatch encounters on your way to some dirty outhouse at night. 

Finally, the Wildflower Cabin features that staple of woods cabins the world over, the loft. "Why not read a book in the loft if you just feel like relaxing?" the ad sensibly inquires. 

You probably should. At $145 a night (with the exception of weekends around Christmas, which run slightly more expensive), this place gives you a pretty big bang for your buck.
