Tour this unique converted barn cottage: guests sleep in the hay loft

It's hard to believe that this light-filled and colorful cottage was once a barn. It was converted to a 1,000 square foot home and now boasts hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a sleeping loft for guests, and plenty of windows to view the neighboring vineyard. Bonnie Christine, owner of the blog Going Home to Roost, has put her unique touch on the space.
Bonnie is a designer, loves to craft and sew, and owns a shop of art prints and other products - so it's no surprise her home just screams creativity and features plenty of DIY projects. The home has an eclectic and curated vintage vibe that suits its architecture perfectly. Tour through the home below and it's guaranteed you will feel inspired!

One of the items on Bonnie's wishlist while shopping for a home was for it to have lots of windows to let in natural light. She definitely got just that with this cottage - the light streams through and makes to space feel fresh and welcoming.
This desk area is tucked into the main living space. A desk with storage, a comfortable chair, and wall decor to anchor the space is all you need to create your own mini office space.
The book shelf and chair create a little reading nook next to the dining table. Bonnie often refers to her book collection for blogging inspiration.
Vintage decor and a place to hang bags adorn the entrance. A leaning ladder lets guests access the sleeping loft.
The kitchen features bright white cabinetry with unique green knobs. A small painting desk was placed near the window. Creativity is encouraged in every corner of this home.
The bedroom includes a headboard made of shipping crates. The deer pillow and deer hanging are both DIY projects as well.

One of the most breathtaking features of this home is the wisteria covered arbor in the backyard. With picturesque views of the vineyard and mountains, it's truly an outdoor space of dreams. Bonnie uses this space to read in the hammocks for some relaxation, or to entertain her lucky guests.
