Mark and Emily Mitchel of St. Peters, Mo., have taken to building tiny homes for those who want to embrace tiny living. Their newest release has been dubbed the "Relax Shack," and according to their website, Mini Mansions Tiny Home Builders, this 196-square-foot home came in under the projected cost of $41,999 and is being sold for only $39,900.
The Mitchel's site shares how both Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel have been in real estate for years and survived the housing crisis by selling their dream home at a loss in 2003. They then bought a new home that totaled 800 square feet, and that was the inspiration for their tiny home business.

The Mini Mansion company released a YouTube video about the "Relax Shack" on February 27, 2016. The most notable exterior feature on it is its bright red door. Inside, you'll find a closet tucked under the loft, and inside the closet, the ladder for accessing the loft is hidden.
An unusual feature in tiny homes is this 7.3 cubic foot refrigerator. The Mitchels also included a full-sized sink in the kitchen, and wood grain linoleum covers the floor on the ground level.
The loft above the kitchen is big enough for a king-sized bed, although Mrs. Mitchel recommends a queen-sized one with nightstands instead. The "Relax Shack" also has a washer dryer combo unit inside so that laundry can be done. The shacks biggest drawback is that it does not have a stove unit, but instead, it is equipped with a two-burner hot plate.
A unique feature of this tiny home is its 32-inch flat screen TV that swivels so that it can be viewed from either loft as well as the daybed on the main floor.
The loft over the bathroom is large enough for a twin bed. A book case for extra storage is built into the space under the loft.
The bathroom sports a sink and vanity and a 36-inch shower.
It also contains a composting toilet.
This tiny "Relax Shack" has lots of windows to let in natural light and only three lights inside the unit.
To complete the ambiance of common area, the designers tucked an electric fireplace under the stairs. The Mitchel's creative use of space has allowed them to design a tiny home with two bedrooms. They kept in mind the need to make this tiny place a home and added in the little touches like the fireplace and swivel TV. They have managed to create a shack in which you truly can relax.
