Tour this beautiful, 2-bedroom 416-square-foot cottage with us

Sometimes, an escape from the rush of city life can be just what you need. A quiet house in the countryside might be the best thing for someone who needs a break from the urban jungle, and Kanga Room Systems, an architectural company, knows exactly what to do for those customers. One of their most popular projects, the Kanga Cottage Cabin in Texas, is a marvel of exterior and interior design, combining quiet country homes with tiny living in a great way.
This rustic little home features everything you'd need to live alone in the countryside, while remaining compact at 416 square feet. The result is a charming house where simplicity rules and nature is nearby at all times. Let's take a look through the pictures.

In a bold move, the garage – and thus the road to civilization – is located behind the house, so the front looks like it's quite literally in the middle of the forest with no roads to be seen. A beautiful yellow and red facade give the place an almost oriental, yet still very southern, charm.
Like with most smaller homes, the living room and kitchen are combined into one common space for a lovely, homey result. Wood floors and yellow walls help give the place a warm, welcoming feel.
The kitchen includes two sizable sinks, an elevated microwave oven, and a two-burner stove so you can have all the essentials. There's plenty of cabinets for storage too.
The ground-floor bedroom looks just like any ordinary room, with ample space for a bed and lots of storage.
The bathroom features everything that's expected – a toilet, shower and bath combo, sink and cabinet.
An extremely valuable detail: A small cabinet which can contain a washer and dryer combo, perfect so you don't have to leave the house for your laundry.
The common area is equipped with a ladder to get up to the loft, located above the ground-floor bedroom.
Lo and behold – the loft has enough space for two twin beds! Excellent for visiting guests, in-laws or even children. The proximity to the ceiling definitely gives it a fun, childlike look.
The house has a small front porch, with enough room for a few chairs to enjoy the fresh air and sunlight. As for the yard in front, your imagination is the limit.
The garage and workshop connected to the house is also worth noting, as is the swing hanging from the nearby tree. The Kanga Cottage Cabin has just about all the essentials to make someone happy, without overcomplicating anything.
