Take a look at the beautiful Pennsylvanian Olde Creek Cottage

Olde Creek Cottage in Atglen, Pa., used to take its visitors back in history to a quieter, more peaceful time. According to Facebook, the home is nestled on the Graber's family land and was originally built in the 1700s. The tiny cottage was restored and then rented as a romantic retreat for those who wanted to escape for a while. Unfortunately, the cottage closed its doors for business in October 2015.
Although people can't go and stay in the beautiful cottage, they can see the charming house online. The home sits along a creek and at the edge of some woods. An outdoor patio, equipped with a dining set, a fireplace and a grill, allowed visitors to take complete advantage of the setting.

According to Old Creek Cottage, inside the home, the first floor contained a sitting room. The stone fireplace, although beautiful to look at, did not function. The high beams and white ceilings and walls kept visitors from feeling hemmed in.
The  solid wood floors and gorgeous furnishings allowed the travelers to step back in time to a quieter, simpler way of life.
Still on the main floor, lodgers would have found a fully equipped kitchen. If visitors didn't want to cook, the cottage was within driving distance to Lancaster and Chester Counties.
Although the cottage is in keeping with its 1700s roots, the owners made sure to update and equip the kitchen with all the necessities for cooking a great meal or just warming up tasty leftovers from a delicious restaurant.
The cozy table comfortably seated two people for a romantic, home-cooked dinner.
Upstairs, a queen-sized bed was snuggled under the eaves and made-up with a handmade quilt.
The bathroom was also on the second floor and had a shower. The corner sink maximized the space of this tiny cottage.
The back patio had a great view of the nearby woods, and the immaculate landscaping and lush lawn created a garden paradise for those who chose to sit outside.
Many hiking trails ran along the side of the cottage, running through the nearby woods. Natural floral and fauna could be seen by those who ventured out.

The nearby Amish town provided a taste of life at a slower pace. Although both sites point out that Olde Creek Cottage was not for people who liked spas and the faster pace of resort life, the cottage offered its own unique escape. The peace and solitude of the 1700s home couldn't be replicated elsewhere, and the cozy furnishings and decor reflected the home's heritage and Amish surroundings. As one guest said,"This cottage helped us 'experience' more fully the quiet and simple ways of the folks who live in this area." The cottage truly became a retreat for those who sought it out.
