Step into a tiny home that's big on charm

Stephanie Adams decided to live a more minimal life. A big part of this decision was changing her residence, so she decided to purchase a school bus for roughly $2,000 and transform it into the tiny home of her dreams. With 220 square feet of living space, Adams knew she had to make every inch count, and she enlisted friends and family members to help her strip and convert the old school bus.
Parked in the woods in a private, secluded spot, Adams is able to enjoy a peaceful life in the outdoors with all of the comforts of a real home. Who needs a mortgage when you can live your dreams inside a small but stunning converted bus?

As you step into the bus, you see a light, bright, airy interior. A sleeping/living space is on the right with a comfortable couch that pulls double duty. A stunning lamp catches your eye immediately and provides a soothing ambiance in the evening.
On the left, you spot a pull out table, which can also serve as a desk or media center. Slide the sturdy wooden table underneath when you're done using it to save space. Hardwood floors give the bus a polished, lived-in look.
Next to the living area is the kitchen. Surprisingly, for such a small space, the kitchen is fully loaded and functional. Adams equipped the area with a full-sized range, wooden counter/butcher block, full-sized refrigerator, and a washer/dryer unit. Mounted jars underneath built-in shelving provide a clever way to store food and spices.
The kitchen boasts a double sink and plenty of overhead shelves for additional storage that keeps food and cookware within arm's reach without taking up valuable counter space.
Simple living may require sacrifices, but style isn't one of them. Adams created a cozy, pastel colored bedroom in the back of the bus that features an oversized, custom built closet with sliding doors, a twin bed, and under bed baskets for storing clothing and linens.
The closet doors slide in either direction, and include even more storage above the closet itself.
The bathroom is much larger than you'd imagine. A beautiful white wooden door gives way to a standing shower, a rose pink vanity, and a real toilet. Built in shelves inside the bathroom add space for towels and personal items. A skylight adds beautiful natural light to the space, and framed artwork creates visual appeal.
Originally Adams included a composting toilet in the bus, but quickly decided to trade up to a traditional toilet instead when that didn't seem to work for her very well. It's the little things in life we appreciate the most!
A standing shower is the perfect size, and features vinyl walls that require minimal care.
The eye-catching vanity is made of pink marble, and the sink is the perfect finishing touch. Adams took the rearview mirror from the front of the bus and placed it above the sink.
