Off-the-grid tiny home has unique solar and rainwater collection system

Jeff Hobbs, a  boat builder and carpenter, knows how to design his tiny homes. In this boat-inspired design for a client, Hobbs built a tiny home that could be entirely off-the-grid.
What does this sustainable home feature? On its roof, there's a rainwater collection. This particular system also doubles as an outdoor roofing mechanism.

As you can see from the picture below, the roofing sits above the outdoor porch.
Detail of the roofing:
There's also a 600-watt solar system along with a 100-liter heater tank providing a low pressure water system.
While designed to be entirely off-the grid, the home also has a caravan plug if one needs it.
The electrical unit is hidden away neatly and can be accessed from the outside.
A wood stove fireplace can help provide heat:
The boat-inspired kitchen is made out of recycled wood.
The kitchen comes with a 12-volt range hood.
Even the sink and tiles in the kitchen were custom made with a handcrafted touch of love.
Perhaps what's most luxurious? A full shower that is "to the minute." Turn on the faucet and water comes running right through.
