Walk in this quaint, tiny home and see its many kitchen gadgets and storage options

Building a tiny home with enough kitchen space to store your food and your cooking utensils can be a real challenge, but the people of High Plains Tiny Homes seem to have come up with a creative solution to the storage problem. According to High Plains Tiny Homes in Omaha, Neb., this 180 square-foot home took about eight months to build and is on an 8-foot x 14-foot PJ trailer.
According to High Plains Tiny Homes, the beautifully crafted home was being prepared to be delivered to its new owners in October 2015. The rose-colored tiny home mimics a caboose in exterior styling and even has a charming window box for flowers. A covered porch protects the flower box and the red door.

The High Plains home is a contrast in light and dark. The white walls and cupboards cause the dark woods on the floor and ceiling to really pop.
The kitchen has a sink, and much like a traditional home, a window is strategically placed so that you can look out as you wash the dishes. A flat screen TV is mounted on the wall for those who enjoy relaxing with a good show in the evening.
The designers placed lots of shelving around the counter to store things. A dish drainer is mounted on the wall, leaving the limited counter space free.
The bathroom is tucked away behind the kitchen. The designers took extra time making the bathroom aesthetically pleasing since it can be easily seen if the door is left open.
Opposite of the sink, the kitchen has a microwave oven. High Plains points out that an infrared cooktop can be installed if desired. Below the microwave, a wire spice rack is mounted.
The utility closet has a set of baskets for storing produce or other goods.
Next to the refrigerator, a drawer of storage racks slides out for additional space.

A tile splash guard adds a touch of beauty usually not seen in tiny bathrooms. The vessel sink and round mirror give character to the room.
A composting toilet is tucked away on one side of the bathroom, opposite of the shower.
In the living space, a built-in couch gives the owners a place to relax and watch TV in the evening. The ladder for accessing the loft descends to the couch.
During the day, the windows around the couch give plenty of light for reading, and a strategically placed light replaces sunlight for nighttime reading.
The loft has three windows. High Plains states that you can comfortably sit in the loft without hitting your head.
The beautiful wood on the wall, ceiling and floor warms this tiny space, making it a cozy place to retreat in the evening. Side sliding windows allow for airflow, keeping it well ventilated.

People say that a picture is worth 1,000 words. These pictures definitely say a lot. One person from Tiny House Talk commented, "You had me at the ‘red’ front door! Love it all!" With such unique designs coming out of the tiny house movement, the way it's growing is not surprising.
