Tour the Pendleton Road tiny farmhouse with us

If you’ve dreamed of a vintage-looking home but don’t want the hassle of dealing with renovation, look no further than Our Town Plans. This architectural firm provides premade plans for a variety of historic-looking houses, such as this one-bedroom, one-bathroom "farmhouse" that features all the necessary amenities in 493 square feet.
The “228 Pendleton Road” is featured in a section of plans called “Bunkies and Guest Houses.” While these plans are described as useful for guests or as an addition to a main house, the company also touts them as “perfect get-away cabins and studios.” The floor plan of the Pendleton features a single combined living/sleeping space that is more like a studio than a one-bedroom home. But that only adds to the charm.

Step through the front door into the welcoming living room/bedroom. Wood plank ceilings and floors add warmth to the cozy room. Windows on both walls bring in ample natural light. To the right is a pocket kitchen with enough room for a sink, small counter and half-size refrigerator.
There is plenty of room for a sitting area at the foot of the bed, tucked in a light-filled space between the pocket kitchen and the shower.
Beyond the bed, the back wall of the house features a closet and a sizable bathroom nearly the full width of the house, with double sinks and vanity and a sliding pocket door that opens to the toilet and shower area.
Rock your cares away on the traditional covered front porch. At 8 feet by 20 feet, the porch welcomes visitors to your tiny but cozy home.

Inside, the ceiling rises to 9 feet, creating a sense of airiness and space in the tiny home. Outside, the A-frame roof and wood shutters that flank every window add to its country charm.
