Welcome to Pacifica, the newest addition to Caravan — The Tiny House Hotel

If you're intrigued by the tiny home movement but don't feel ready to jump in headfirst, you might want to dip your toes into the water with Caravan — The Tiny House Hotel in Portland, Ore. Though there are plenty of models to choose from, their newest creation demonstrates the nearly endless possibilities when it comes to tiny living. You may become spoiled, however, as Caravan considers this to be their "most high-end tiny house to date."
Drawing inspiration from the nearby ocean waves, the Pacifica is an homage to the graceful curves and tranquil colors of the sea. It was designed by expert tiny house builder Abel Zyl of Zyl Vardos through a 3-D modeling program and took less than three months to construct. Despite being built on a 10-foot-wide single-axle trailer, the Pacifica is wheelchair accessible and houses a treasure trove of gorgeous details.

The sinuous roof immediately separates the Pacifica from your average tiny home — the gentle slope calls to mind cresting waves and the artfully arranged siding mimics that sentiment to perfection.
The Pacifica features custom-made stained-glass windows, and the color story remains consistent throughout the entire dwelling both in palette and shape. Look at how flawlessly the geometric design of the quilt echoes the triangular window on the door.
Across from the great room is the kitchen. According to the website, Caravan owner Deb Delman both designed and built the custom Talavera tile sink and countertop.
The vaulted ceiling adds to the spaciousness of the interior but does so in a way that feels nurturing and peaceful.
The staircase leading up to the sleeping loft doubles as a storage space, but we can't help but marvel at how the curved lines of the structure transform the otherwise angular steps into something befitting the flowing aquatic theme.
Upstairs, the sleeping loft accommodates a queen-size bed.
After stepping through the door and into the magic of the Pacifica, you may find it hard to leave.
